i need to know if anyone can look up a smith&wesson model 57 .41 magnum for me. i am looking for the year of manufacture and value. 4" & blued in excellent shape. no box. s.n. n789xxx

Might want to post up the line in Modern Handguns Forum. I have no clue as to modern double actions other then years they were produced, not specific years by serial number. When I was in Collage I worked in a gun shop (big mistake) and we had a Smith 41 that had been worked over. Smoothest gun ever. Made a Python feel like it was full of sand.

Prices vary with region but around here that would have a tag over $600 on it, maybe as high as $899 to start. New ones are about 699.
The N serial number makes it an older gun I believe, if it's P&R'ed and near 100% it could bring 1100-1200 bucks.
