View Full Version : A75-L 9mm convert to .40 S&W?

Recently acquired this neat little carry pistol.
I know that it is made in both calibers - 9mm & .40 S&W.
The magazine works for both.
So what parts are different, other than the barrel?
Can I buy a .40 barrel and swap them out as needed?

What do you propose to do about the slide? The .40 rim is a larger diameter and will not fit in a slide face cut for 9mm.

I guess that answers my question.
So I'd need slide assembly with barrel and spring

If you look around, ocassionally you will see the 40 S&W top end (slide assembly and barrel) on Gunbroker.
The A-75 is one of my favorite carry pistols.

I didn't know they existed until I found this one at a gun show last weekend.
It looked about the size and weight of my Keltec P11, and considerably better made.
It also holds one additional round. Nice little gun, looks hardly used.
At $245 it looked like a bargain, so it followed me home.
It's a bit bigger than I can carry most of the time, so it will be my nightstand gun or possibly my truck gun.

$245 was a slam dunk bargain for what you got.
You did quite well. :)
And I'm jealous....
