Actually the FEMA camp story is somewhat true. The US Govt awarded Halliburton a contract to build "centers" in case of a national emergency.
If you go to www.worldnetdaily.com and do a search on Halliburton, the article will come up. The camps were to be built upon the issueance of an executive order from the president during a "national emergency".

2-move them to the airports
3-put them on a plane
4-bring them somewhere else
5-(the most important one), drop them off and forget about them

Today about 1/3 the population of Orleans Parish is still outside the state.

Which lead many people to speak in one word, the government isn't helping us, so we need to do it for ourselfs!

Sounds good to me.
Some gov't agencies concentrate on redistributing the income of others.
This agency concentrates on the redistribution of people who don't offer a positive contribution to society.
New Orleans is suddenly better off.
Many other states have a little surge in the prison population.
Still elsewhere the formerly shiftless have been forced to work and be something more than a parasite.

I was talking about the youtube videos that make the FEMA camps sound like the second coming of Hitlers concentration camps.

Obviously, they SHOULD have camps prepped before TSHTF. We shouldn't expect anything less if some pandemic hits or some raghead does get a nuke off. If they didn't have plans in place...well you think there was pissing and bitching over Katrina!!!

If I'm not mistaken FEMA, a federal agency, had no jurisdiction in NO and couldn't do anything unless requested. By the time mayor chocolate and gov Blank brains already turned the situation FUBAR.
In FEMAs defense, I doubt they ever planned for an situation where local authorities created a secondary emergency.
It's too easy to point fingers, not so easy to see the big picture.

Have they repeatedly authored so called AWB's and other gun bans? George H. W. certainly didn't help our cause, but overall the repubs. have not hurt us so badly. Interestingly, the National Socialists (Nazis) advocated some very interesting ideas including...an old age pension plan, national health care, promotion of organic food and health drinks (Coca Cola was banned for children and fruit juices were recommended for everyone), banning of smoking in many public areas (the term ''Smoking Nazi'' isn't so off-base now, is it :) ? ), and a return to 'nature', etc. Sound familiar?

Few conservatives are responsible for the oppressive legislation the Kook Left has saddled this country with.
