L-side Eagle SN 53XX; Eagle 214, on Barrell; Eagle Swastika followed by SN 53xx with script m underneath, followed by Mod.98. Bolt bears proof stamps Eagle 140, SN 28xx; stainless slide and 4 triangles forward of front lug: situated up-down-up-up. It has a Jaguar; H&H Seibert - Wetzlar 4x81L Scope, SN 26xx. Can provide pics to one that is in the know. Thanks for the help.

What is it you want to know about it? You might also try the "Commerical and Military Sporting Arms Forum" at:

http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22

It sounds interesting but is no longer a military rifle.

How badly "sporterized" was it?
If just the stock has been modified, then you could restore it....
