Hello, I think you posted pics of the gas works for the French 1917 semi auto rifle some time ago. I'm looking at buying one that is the straight pull conversion. Naturally, I want to restore it to semi auto. Do you have pics for these parts? Thank you much, [email protected]
Tp thank you for the feedback
Here is the reason why have brought it in to this forum is, the rifle is registered here in Canada and the national fire arms registry has it down as a "1924 FN short rifle" most of those 1924 FN short rifles have been made for a military contract to Venezuela. (If it is a military contract it misses the crest on the large ring) But when I inspected it further it showed an non typical crown and the number 7 below with the letters FSR (that could make it Swedish or Norwegian) It doesnít look like any or the known Belgian proof marks, The Capital "F" could stand for Alexandre Lambert (proof controller 1927-1953the only way to proof if it is a 1924 I have been told to take a K98 bolt of another rifle and see if it fits itís a 1930 if it doesnít itís a 1924.If you could please point me the right forum where I might be able to get some feedback Thanks S.
Dale, I own a MAB model D (type 1) with German stamp on barrel and serial #80898 on frame. Can you tell me what the stamp means right after the serial #?: W8A251 (could be WaA251)
Thanks for you time.
Hi Dale. I know the rules: NO CURRENT AUCTIONS at the forum. That doesn't mean I can't send you info directly, I believe. There are two French rifles up for auction at Gunrunner Auctions right now. 49/56 and a 49, both in 7.5 French. The 49 is most interesting currently at $290 and it's not Syrian. I just didn't know if you were always in the market for them but figured I'd send you a heads-up anyway. Seems like low prices.

DALE..... send me an e-mail for addy info.
this is for the vz stock. thanks
IIRC: That is the one....
Do you know whta is the correct WaA number for an MAB D? DOes 251 sound correct for a pistol with SN 67463?
Dale, what all is involved in getting a "sticky" for a survey described in this post about Vz 52/57's? Thanks, Jared
