Not as far as I'm concerned. SVDs came to Finland with BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles that were bought from former DDR in the early 1990s. As Finns have never bought them from the "source" the Russians refuse to sell us 7N1 or 7N14 cartridges. Therefore only LPS cartridges can be used.
Did Sean send you the manual? If not, I can do it if you give me your email.
I'm afraid I don't have any drawings, just one picture that shows the action, trigger assembly and magazine. Did I send you the manual BTW?
The magazine looks much like the one m/39 has but I'm not sure if they are modified further. I haven't handled a TKIV-85 a while. I think I have an m/39 mag somewhere.
Hi Paul! I don't know how to get access to the library for research. The archive of artillery museum is not open for everybody.
Ah, there you are!
I've lost your email.
Why weren't you at the competition shoot at Lydd?
I don't know if you remember our conversation about Whitehead Bros scope mounts for the SMLE last time at Hythe. You mentioned a couple of names of people making them. One was the esteemed Dr. Payne but I have forgotten who the other guy was. The good doctor hasn't got any and I REALLY need a set to ease my tortured mind.
Also, do you know of a good localish gunsmith who could drill and tap for the mounts without buggering it up. I would prefer not to go to Fultons.
P.S. There is a Enfield/Lyman TP bracket for sale on Ebay, finishing today. It going to go too high for me but since you also mentioned these, I thought you may be interested. All you would need is a 74L serialised Long Branch and you would be in business.
