    Is your T99 book still available? I’d like to purchase a copy if so. Looking for a good reference to research my recent Arisaka T99 purchase. Best regards, CA_Mike

    i know before it would be fired by me again..... the head space would be check and rechecked.....then i would work from there outward..
    to the bedding.......if he tightened down the action screws on a "high spot" bedding problem.. or badly compressed wood at the tang?
    that would also bind the action a little....
    i have seen this on two Kimber restocked in org. composite stocks 96 Swedes...

    one 98 CUSTOM sporter..a novice glass bedding job of a friend... that would not buy the stuff i needed and give me $ 35...... to do it right,
    he had to let me fix it after the same bolt problems discussed ... tight bolt...take care friend i have followed your good posting for a while...

    Don,
    Thanks for the offer, but, I have two plastic covers I think I got from you a couple of years ago. I bought one and you sent another that was broken which I really appreciated. They fit the T38 fine but I wanted to get a brass cover. In my enthusiasm I read the book after I made the commitment to purchase this that fits the no-ear sight. Almost thought about replacing the front sight to fit the cover! (No, I'm not going to do that.) Otherwise I'd make the trade. Thanks and take care, John

    Don,
    I use your book as primary reference, and grateful for your advice. Yes, I'd like a price for the proper handguard but fear it is over my head. I am a newbe and make all possible mistakes. Thank you for your help.

    Don,

    I'm inquiring about the T99 Book you co-edited with Doss. Is it still available to purchase and if so, do I go through you or try to find it at online bookstores? I'm wanting to learn more about these rifles so I don't get "taken" too badly as a newbie! I guess I also need to know the price of this book if it is still available.

    Thanks,

    For the 'bolt finder". T99 bolt body only. Drum shaped knob #847 for sale. It has tiny "w"'s stamped on it, so might be Nagoya. Bob.

    Bruce,
    the 02/45 is pretty much just as the seller describes. It is not a T 99, so it is not in the T 99 book. It will be found in the "Early Arisaka book" by Frank Allan. You sent this to 03 man, Don Voigt, co editor of the 99 book; Doss White is Ronin 48 and the other co editor.

    Hope this helps.

    Mr. White;
    Say, I found this rifle on gunbrokers.com. I'm not considering bidding on this gun, but I tried to find it in your book and couldn't. It looks to be made from old Type 30 action parts and type 99 stock fittings. I'd like to know what you make of it. Is it really a substitute rifle, or is it the 'jackalope' of Japanese surplus?
