I have been involved in many time periods from F&I Wars to the American Civil War. When changing periods I would clean out all my previous wares so I would pay attention to the new time frame 110%. That's the expensive way of doing things according to many, it worked for me to stay on track and not get periods mixed like so many have done. The last equipage from that of an early trapper 1780-1810 has been sold. I'm now in the process of building a new outfit: era 1825-1845 Eastern Trader for major supply houses in Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Trade West. A gentleman with fitted clothing, modern wares for the period, carrying a Leman flintlock trade rifle. Fun project in getting everything together with references to correct documentation.
