Per the rules of the forum, the statement in about me of "I was born a poor corn holer.....then I became a Marine and learned to whup ass." is against forum policy. If the unwanted "chit chat" in wts threads apply to me, then the rules of policy of this forum against vulgarity apply to you. So much for being a marine. All they ever were anyway was Navy rejects put in green uniforms! Have a nice day!
  2. M28 nose plate reproduction....You expressed interest in one several days ago. You were the only one. I figured there would be at least a few shooter/collectors that would want to hear more, especially after earlier posts about how many M28s are missing theirs. Glad I didn't spend more time on this project. Still haven't figured-out a correct-looking screw, I guess there's no need to. If you would somehow let me know where to send a plate to you, I'll get it in the mail. I'm still interested to know what others think about these, and if there is another scarce part of a rare rifle where I could use this process. I still need some ammo money.

Sean,I found a site youmight be interested,if you haven't seen it before.I googled
"spanish civil war mauser information".I scrolled down to "Spain Table".There's a load of info by the author,Dan Reynolds, about the rifles used in the SCW.They show delivery dates and other info.Seems they delivered Mosins as late as 2/13/38.Very interesting but a lot for me to absorb and remember in one sitting.Hope it sheds some light on the weapons used there.
BTW I'm interested in getting a Made in Russia/URRS stamped Mosin. Are they far and few between now and what is the price range for one that's marked as such and more of shooter grade?
Being Spanish myself,I've gotten an interest in the guns and history.
    Thanks for any insights.

We Marines believe that God gave America the greatest gift he could bestow to man while he lived on this earth-freedom. We also believe he gave us another gift nearly as precious-our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Coast Guardsmen, and Marines-to safeguard that gift and
guarantee no force on this earth can every steal it away. It has been my distinct honor to have been with you here today. Rest assured our America, this experiment in democracy started over two centuries ago, will forever remain the "land of the free and home of the brave" so long as we never run out of tough young Americans who are willing to look beyond their own self-interest and comfortable lives, and go into the darkest and most dangerous places on earth to hunt down, and kill, those who would do us harm.
