Steve, My Bodeo is quite old and would use blackpowder or a light load of Unique. I have not shot it

RS, you mentioned a 1907 Springfield as if you might want to let it go. Email me your price if you don't want to put it here. If it doesn't scare me too badly, I might ask for pics. Truthfully, I just mailed the check for the Rock Island and I'll have to think hard before I immediately make another purchase. Still, stranger things have happened. shawn.costner@comcast.net

I am repairing a broken conversion plate on a 1851 navy 2ND generation. It broke through the firing pin hole and the potion to the right of the pin hole is missing. The firing pin and spring are missing, also. The loading gate is OK. I purchased the gun in this condition. I tried to download your pictures. I was not able to. I located your comments and found them to be very interesting. I am making a new plate with 4150 CM from a scrapped .50 barrel blank. I am trying to design a firing pin. return spring and visualize what the missing portion of the plate looks like. I would appreciate if you could e-mail me pictures of your conversion. Thanks, Daniel Hall Iron MTN., MI dehall@chartermi.net The conversion is in 38S&W. Interestingly, the bore slugs at .357 diameter. After I finish the repair, I need to find a safe smokeless load for 100 grain Lead bullets.

RS, I am fairly new to Winchester garand collecting and you seem extremely knowledgable. I was hoping to ask you a few questions if that is OK. My email is bushmaster1976@hotmail.com.

2 June 2008. 2:15pm. RS, I don't suppose you could do me a favor and e-mail me the price you paid for that SMLE cond. II*, plus tell me what sort of purchase it was (auction, retailer, private purchase, etc.) for the annual price guide. (See the stickies section of the Lee and Martini forums.) No information will be published identifying you as the owner. My e-mail address is munro@intergroupservices.com. Thanks in advance, Doug Munro ("Coggansfield").
