    Doc,
Thanks for your ongoing contributions to the 6.5 Dutch thread. Aside from 308 Win. and 7mm-08, are there any other die choices that would do the job on .303 brass to prepare for a 6.5 die?
    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hello Doc
Seems that your the one that would know so if you could help me, I have 2 small cannon shells (about 6.5" long) that were made into lamps. I decided to clean them and took the things apart, to my surprise there was a German crown M headstamp with the inscription "PATRONENFABRIK KARLSRHUE 43". Their about 1.5" diameter. Any Ideas?
    Regards

    Doc Av,

I've read your post about 11x52R Dutch Beaumont reloading issues. Could you please elaborate on Lebel brass sleeving? Also, what dies do you use for reloading of this cartridge? And another question - how to tell for sure that what i have is in fact 11x52R and not 11x50R. The rifle is 1875 Beaumont that was modified to take Vitali magazine - i've slugged the bore and it comes to .452. Please advice.

    Sincerely,

    Me.

P.S. If you have a sample brass case or even a round i'd be happy to buy it from you.

    Doc,
I see you are popular! I saw your post about having a couple of original Enfield rifle crates from Canada. I was wondering if they were from Long Branch or Savage? I was also wondering if you could send me some photos of any markings on the box. I have been looking for a Savage rifle crate and want to know what kind of markings to look for. Thanks for your time

Your website says you make a hydraulic decapper suitable for doing any caliber. I have a lot of Berdan brass I have primers to fit, but the decappers I have now are inconvenient or mash a lot of anvils.

I see in another post that you were selling your decapper for $100 Australian. I'm really interested.

    Doc,
Was wondering if you could take a look at this thread:
    http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?t=25131&page=3

We're trying to figure out if the M inside of a circle stamp on Mannlicher clips is from the Povazska Bystrica plant or not. New information has surfaced to indicate that the plant may have used a different stamping.

As always, any help you can give is greatly appreciated. I'm stuck trying to decide if they should go into the unconfirmed category or not. ^_^

    Thanks!

Doc, I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about the FN FAL rifles that used to be in service with Cuba. From what I've heard, it seems to me like they might have been basically a cross between the Belgian version and the British Commonwealth one. Could you maybe tell me if that is indeed the case and if so what did they have in common with the two models?

Doc, I'm kinda interested in reloading for my Irish Mannlicher and had a few questions

Can I use standard 8x57 cases with pointed .323 projectiles? Any recommendations on bullet weight?

What powder and charge weight would you think appropriate?

I noted in one of your posts on the subject of using 8 x 57JS ammo in the GEW 88 you mentioned that many of the GEW 88 rifles had their throats relieved to allow the .323 bullet to better engage the rifling and to better swage the round down to the .318 bore of the GEW 88. Do you know whether any of the Irish Mannlichers received this same modification?

Can you compare the relative strengths of the GEW 88 and Irish Mannlicher actions. In short, is the Steyr 1904 action as strong as the GEW 88?

    Thanks, Steve
