Hello and thanks for asking all the questions in the Blackpowder forum that were on my mind regarding the Pietta 1860 Colt. I received one in my Christmas stocking and have just now tried to figure out how to remove the wedge pin and take the revolver apart.
Having read your posts and responses from Guttbucket, I would sure be grateful if you could send me a copy of the step by step instructions for the Colt disassembly.
I'm a little intimidated to start that project without instructions.
I enjoyed the pictures you have posted and will be working soon on an old reproduction of an 1840's blackpowder pistol that a friend gave to me. It needs
refinishing work on the stock, re-blued barrel and general clean up. I'll experiment on it first before I do any work on the Colt.
Thanks again and the best to you!
Thank you for the happy birthday message.
The board just caught up with your posting.
And happy birthday to you too!
Thank you, I'm happy you like it. I made this picture with Photoshop by combining a bore pic of my m/28-30 and a Finnish flag.
