when i take the pics ill email them to you! hopefully this weekend
I see, the reason i ask is because i noticed in BBOTW Law's lowest is 962. I have just purchased a gun that may interest you:
S243G serial number 123 no letter suffix, non rc but only partially matching: stock and HG [although lightly sanded],bayo lug, butt plate, both bands, barrel, receiver, bolt stop, rear sight, trigger guard, screws, and im assuming trigger etc.
Let me know if you'd like more info and or pics!
I was wondering if you kept data on all k98 manufacturers? If so what is the lowest SN you have for S243G?
I've sent you (and Mike) some more detailed pics of the bnz 43 small font
barrel codes/markings. It looks legit to me, let me know what you think.
I was referred to you with my question as to the value of a Chilean Orden Y Patria Model 1935 7x57 Obendorff Mauser. Everything matches serial number including the clean rod. Has what looks to me like an original suple leather sling on it. I am a Japanese collector trying to get rid of everything else. I'm looking for a fair price as I know nothing about mausers. Thank you Roy Boone (riceone)
Have some secondary source info on numbers/types rifles acquired/in service with the KM 1914-1918; if useful do you want them with the Gew 98 data thread or the current Navy Gew 98 thread?
I've reported these before elsewhere but in case you don't have them:
Gew 98 DWM 1899 SN 5706 W.D. 1972, Navy FP bolt root only, no c/M on stock.
Gew 98 DWM 1903 SN 2225 I.S.B. 3693, Navy FP bolt and receiver, c/M on stock
(need a matching tg for this one, dammit.
