HOWDY GUS,
I have owned a 1895 russian for a lot of years. About 70% blue. BUT, I have to tell you the story of the one that got away. We were at OGCA about 10 years ago and were working ourselves down the line when I spot this 1895 on the next table. As I was trying the get there in a hurry another guy (dealer) picked it up. Well it was about 90% blue and about the nicest I've seen. He bought it for the asking price of $750.00. It did not make my day because I felt I could sell mine for about $900 at the time and it was 3X the condition. Oh well, I'm just thankful that quite a few others DID NOT get away from me!
PS The whole area in in TORNADO ALLEY. I lived there for about 56 years and had about 3 close calls myself.
I'm really sorry I missed it and am glad you did not. What a hobby!!!!! See you next year for sure!
