I'm interested in learning more about your speedloader design for the Norwegian Krag rifle. I don't know if I have the skill set to manufacture them myself. Do you make then for people? How much would you want to make a couple for me?. Please let me know.
Parashooter, I just wanted to thank you the advice on stripping the stock on my Swiss 96/11. I worked very well with 0 damage. I posted a few pictures on the Swiss site. Sam
I've just started posting on Gunboards as Calgacus, and you might recognise some of the content from when I used to be John Wallace. I'd be grateful, though, if you don't mention this online.
A couple of years ago I disagreed, in no more aggressive or unrealistic a manner than you have seen, with DD, alias Douglas Dickens, the moderator of the Martini-Henry board. The result was to have a post of mine mostly excised except for my real name, with a pretty savage online warning against politics, when I'd done nothing of the sort. They refused my request to remove all my postings, too. I've been told of a disturbing number of friends disappearing this way. If they won't pay moderators in cash, they have to let them have their fun.
Still, their claim that all postings would disappear at a year old has turned into the truth it wasn't intended to be. So I think it would be foolish not to take advantage of the priceless resource I have found here. I do appreciate your expertise on the Swiss rifles, although my plan to make my original pattern 1889 mould has constantly been pushed back by events.
