    Hello Scott:

I've read numerous subjects about full magazines' Springs retaining the full strength, even after months or years.

The followers in my Russian Mak. .380's stproings are So tight that the only hope is too leave all five mags constantly fully-loaded.
Possibly this could reduce the springs' tension just a little bit?

Not a big deal, but would be nice.

I'm 63 and didn't own a handgun (the Sauer 38H) until about four years ago, and didn't begin very active shooting or handgun ownership until last December (CZ "PCR", German-proofed Sigs).
Glad to have reacquired this same Mak from the guy I sold it to!

Thanks for any magazine etc info,
    David.

Scott... Ran across your amazing collection of Maks and other stuff and saw that you are a Tokarev expert, too...

Consequently, wanted to see if you had any info about Russian use of nickel (chrome?) on any of their Toks... I picked one up several months ago - looks like a factory job, as all the marks appear to be struck through the finish... No import markings, matching lanyard loop numbered mag, usual CCCP grips, dated 1941, HK 1**7... Could you educate me as to the origins of this pistol? I have shot it and it functions very well... About Excellent condition.

    Thanks for your time!
    Robert
