Master Chief
Greetings from West TN,,,,
I am hoping you may be able to provide some information on a beautiful Czech Mauser my Dad gave to me this past Sunday. It has been in his possession for a long time from his Grandfather. We have no information how the family came upon it.
On the top of the receiver is-
CS ZAVODY NA
VY ROBU ZBRANI
BRNO
On the left side of the receiver is-
E 24 (in between the E and the 24 are markings I cannot figure out.)
Under that is what appears as the serial number R 6355, and again on the barrel R6355
I have read the article from the Military Rifle Journal, December 1999 issue, and have an understanding of what the marks on top mean. This was the only article I could find in a search yesterday online.
Can you tell me what the "E 24 w/special marks" is?
Can you tell me what this fine rifle may have been used for and when? I will provide photos if needed.
Any information you are willing to provide, we would sure appreciate.
Have a Fine Day.
