    Default Spanish DEMILLED Bazooka...

After the demill will these still look like the one in the pic or will they be cut up in pieces? I'm interested in ordering one if they look close to the one in the pic, but not if they are torch cut up into pieces.

    Instalza 88.9mm Rocket Launcher (Spain)

The 88.9mm rocket launcher is an antitank weopon that was designed to perform also as light artillery, firing antipersonnel rounds
against unprotected troops. Featuring very little recoil, it can easily be used by one man and rapidly moved from point to point.
The system can utilize three different types of ammunition: the CHM-81L antitank rocket, the MB-66 antitank and antipersonnel rocket, and the FIM-66 smoke rocket. With the CHM-81L the system has a maximum range of 600meters (1,968 ft) against fixed
targets and 450meters (1,476 ft) against moving targets; comparable ranges for the MB-66 round are 1,000 and 300 meters (3,280 and 984 ft), respectively. Overall weight of this system is 6 kilograms (13.2 pounds). It includes a two-power opticle sight.

The Instalaza 88.9 mm M65 anti-tank rocket launcher is a Spanish-developed weapon with an electromagnetic firing mechanism and a sight unit fitted with an adjustable light source to illuminate the graticule for night sighting. The electrical connection between the round and the launcher is established automatically during loading. There are three types of ammunition available: CHM65 anti-tank, MB66 anti-personnel/anti-armour and FIM66 smoke/incendiary. The launcher and its ammunition are produced by the same manufacturer.

The US Bazooka I got from IMA is demilled by cutting a bore sized hole in the right rear, and welding steel crosspins in it.

Default They are here and this is what they look like::

Spanish Bazookas have been demilled by having the rear trap door welded shut. Also there is a hole cut on the side of the tube. There is a very small hole toward the middle of the tube. This is a 2 Piece Bazooka the top of the tube attaches by screwing together. Finish and color will vary.

    Thanks

The picture that we had was a bazooka that had been put together and Refinished by someone.

    Dealers got to them first!

I was at Knob Creek early Friday morning and copes brought with about twenty demilled bazooka's but the dealers jumped on these first thing a took them all. Later that day I saw a dealer selling one for $300.00! By mid day Friday that dealer sold it!

Also some dealers had their copes bazooka's under the tables which I saw had the beautiful camo similar to the original photo and in better shape then the new photo above posted by copes.

Same with there 7.62 x 39 ammo. They said they would have it a $300 a case. From what I understand they sold it to one person on Thursday!

  16. #16

    Default Yes

When we got there on thursday and set up our booth most of our stuff went really fast. We sold out of our 7.62x39 ammo on thursday and we had bazookas on friday morning but they went fast.

Mine came today and while it has a really pretty paint job (a lot like the one in the first photo) it's not as complete as what's shown in the photos. For example, a large part of the ring around the breech end is missing/broken off and it's missing a few other small parts...a cap (?) at the rear end of the tube, whatever holds the shoulder rest in place (it flops all around), and a few other minor parts (there's a spring to nowhere?)...not sure what's supposed to be there, only that parts are missing. I'm a little disappointed in what I got, but I reckon for $129 I can't complain too much.

Would it technically be illegal to weld some sheet metal over the hole on the bottom for aesthetic purposes? I'm thinking of buying one or two and covering over that hole so they'll look nicer hangin on the wall... but I don't want to do anything that will end up illegal.

the only way to do it where you will not get in trouble. Is put cardboard on it and paint that. You can not put sheet metal in it if you do you may want to weld cross bars all the way through it so it stays inactive.

I plan on using thin plastic or cardboard or something so that there wouldn’t be any question as to my “intentions” so to speak. A guy over on the 1919A4 board used a plastic 2 liter coke bottle and painted over it. I may try doing this as well. That or perhaps I'll wrap some camo painted burlap or something around part of it to cover the hole.

I never thought of using a coke bottle. That is a really good idea. We just got another shipment in. They are flying out of here like hot cakes. SO if you want one I would call in and get one today

I got mibne 2 days ago.One hell of a conversation piece I have to say. Mine had the locking piece with it but the rubber eye piece is pretty dried out but I'm still really happy. I hated taking the foam penuts out of the cosmo filled interior though. ew. Its neat to see some of the different paint jobs on these too.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this Spanish bazooka can trace it’s linage directly to the German WWII Panzershreck?

Spain copied and improved upon many of German WWII weapons after the war. I’m wondering how close these Spanish bazookas are to the WWII German Panzerschreck in function, performance and size. To me these look a lot like the RPzB 43 Panzershreck (88mm also) other than the sights and a few minor differences as seen here:

If I can get my Enfield sold, I'll be buying one or two of these, just for the hell of it. Good advice to use the plastic to cover the hole. I didn't want the ATF to think I'm actually going to USE it (though where one would acquire ammo for such a thing and what the heck anyone would do with it is beyond me).

I received my zook today. Thought I’d post a few pics…these are right out of the box with no cleaning.

I gotta say this is one of the neatest surplus items I’ve got in a long time. Mine appears complete and in good shape. It’s got the cool camo pattern paint too. Sling is actually pretty decent, optics including rubber eyecup look good. I tried to photogragh the optics, but it's hard to get a decent shot through a digital camera. I'm very happy with it especially for the money.

    Thanks Copes!!!

Just a question............Would it be legal to modifiy/install a inline black powder rifle barrel in the tube (heck use the hole to prime it) and then make a black powder shooting bazooka just to scare up alittle attention at the range (and hopefully not the BATF type of attention). There's no way it could hold a rocket if a barrel was welded in there but you never know...
In the beginning there was the feral cow and it was angry. It ran amok in the garden and god needed a balance. For in all the universe there is balance so that black has white and day has night. In the garden there was no balance for the feral cow and god thought long and hard until he created Riddick. And there was balance and the world was right again. For as long as there are feral cows there will be Riddick to balance the equation...for there can not be "no stikin hooves" on Riddicks hide.

Mine Just arrived and it's awesome! It's totally complete with the eye cup, set screw and sling. Even the optic light still works and I got the cool camo pattern to boot. If your on the fence about getting one, just do it you won't be disappointed. This has got to be one of the coolest things imported in a long time.
