Hi All,

I'm brand new to this forum so here is my first post.

I picked up this CZ27 about 4 years ago for $300. It is Nazi marked with WaA78 and has what looks like an eagle with a swastika underneath on top of the chamber. I've actually been using this gun as my carry piece for the past few days. I kind of like carrying it :)
I would like approximate age and value of the piece. Thanks!

That's a really nice looking pistol you have. What you have is a somewhat rare low serial number example in excellent condition. You got it for a good price too. I don't think I would use it for CCW, but that's just me.

I would guess current value is about $500 to 550.

Also, you could join the Curio and Relic firearm list here.

Anyway, enjoy your pistol. You'll find that CZ's tend to multiply on you. :)

According to "Know Your Czechoslovakian Pistols" by R. J. Berger, during German occupation in early '41 all production was diverted to the war effort starting around serial #20500. Contracts for the police began in late 1941, by the end of that year less than 42,000 were produced.
You have a Waffenamt mark, meaning not a police unit, as that was considered a commercial contract and the marking, well, see pic.
Not a bad price.
Mine is a fnh Pistole etc, placing it produced in mid 1943 at the earliest. Yet it also has the CZ logo on the grip, "which was soon removed."
