"Terror is not a new weapon. Throughout history it has been used by those who could not prevail, either by persuasion or example. But inevitably they fail, either because men are not afraid to die for a life worth living, or because the terrorists themselves came to realize that free men cannot be frightened by threats, and that aggression would meet its own response. And it is in the light of that history that every nation today should know, be he friend or foe, that the United States has both the will and the weapons to join free men in standing up to their responsibilities."

In a few years will we be saying, I remember when you could buy this for 11 cents a round delivered, wish I had bought more?
I just got an email saying that my order is in dealer processing stage, but It says I got charged 165...I entered the correct coupon code and still got charged for shipping, I don't mind but I'm not sure if the coupon code is working?
Selling several M91/30's and M44's! just ask
My total was correct.
I realize your just trying to make some sells like a regular retailer, but the Romanian surplus is good stuff. It's thirty years newer than this Polish ammo, and more dependable. And to say that the Polish ammo your selling will have no cracks while other Polish ammo on the market from the same time period will is kind of ignorant. It all comes from the same place/time/manufacturer. It's cheaper to get a C&R license and buy this Polish stuff straight from Century Arms who imports it to begin with. Less than $100 for one tin shipped.
I beg to differ Johnnyde. The Polish 7.62x25 ammo that CIA is selling is stated as being cracked because it comes from a known lot that has this defect.
The ammo we are selling will not come from this defective lot, It has been inspected by the importer and us. It shows no crack defects. It is 100% surefire.
CIA did not bring over all of the 7.62x25 from Poland, there are several other importers working that area.
CIA knows what they have, they bought it cheap to sell it cheap. I think it is an error to call the members of the board ignorant. You get what you pay for in this world, there are no free rides.
If you want to try a can of the Polish and make an informed judgement to post on the boards, jump in and get a can with the group buy.

got my shipping notification yesterday. Thanks again for supporting gunboards!
I got my can a few days ago and I can confirm after opening 3 boxes-----there are no cracks in this ammo... However, There was a few that had some small spots of rust, but I don't think that will affect it much as I've shot ammo that looks worse with no problems...Except for the one I just found:
Now, I don't know if showering in a bathroom about 10 feet away that's separated by a doorway would be enough to cause this much rust over 3 days....but so far this is the only cartridge I've found that looks like this.
I will be examining the rest of it for the rest of the night now.
Upon scraping it with a knife, it appears to not be internal so far...
I'm going to sacrifice this bullet to see if the rust is internal...
Conclusion by someone who has never examined what a rusted through bullet casing looks like:
It does not seem to go internally, and if it does----it's not noticeable due to the fact that the inside is not polished (of course).
Of three boxes I've opened so far, after examining every bullet, I've noticed that a lot of them have TINY spots of rust...but that's to be expected with surplus, I've found 3 *Plus the one in the picture* that I wouldn't fire, One of them looks safe but I'm being cautious. The other two have rust that goes from the shoulder to the bullet
All in all, so far so good. Looks to be above average in consistency, I know where I'll be buying my tokarev ammo.
Still need to shoot it though

It all depends on the crimp. If it has the 3 dimple crimp, it will most likely have cracks. If it has the compression crimp (similar to lee factory crimp die), it will not have cracks. The cracks are almost microscopic. Most only show under magnification. Until you shoot it, that is
PLEASE...... post pix of your tin lids. It's one of my small related side hobbies recording the different lots of this stuff.

on a side note what would be the best method of longer term storage for this ammo. i already have an open tin of romanian so i wont be shooting this for a while. I leave all my ammo in spam cans normally before i need them then trransfer it to dry storage boxes after opening. I know its been in these tins for 5o years but i didnt know if the dry storage boxes were better
It has a 4 dimple crimp...I don't know what a crimp is since I'm not a reloader and my knowledge is more along the lines of gun function....but I'm guessing that a crimp on a bullet means a part of the casing that is elevated or pushed in due to the other parts of the casing being squeezed together around a bullet.

Got my case yesterday.
If the weather clears up I hope to try some next Monday.
The bullet is actually held in by neck tension (bullet a few thou larger then the opening in the case). Sometimes though, this is not enough to keep the bullet from being pushed back while cycling from the mag to the chamber, so the crimp is an extra measure to secure it. Now a days, when we think of crimping, it usually means a roll or taper crimp performed when seating a bullet in the seating die, or using a lee "factory crimp" die. All of these crimp the entire circumference of the case into the bullet. Back then, the Polish (among others) thought it might be a good idea to just ping a few indentions around the case neck which caused metal stresses in cases that were already brittle anyway. Most of the cracks in the polish ammo we have today are through those indentions. But there also cracks that are not. This means that we have two factors at work here. Brittle brass and 3/4 point crimps.
It's completly possible the the brass lot in this ammo group buy was malleable enough to withstand the point crimp and remain uncracked for nearly 60 years. Which I hope is the case here. I haven't had any from your lot (as displayed in pic), so I can't really expound on this particular lot. But I wish you the best of luck with it. But if the group buy admins say it is uncracked, I would tend to trust what they say.
and BTW, Thank you for the picture. I have saved a copy for future reference. I'm sure there will be many posts about it's performance.
Just got my tin today! Debating on opening it since it wont be used for a bit. thanks again
Here are the pics of my can and a couple of the boxes.
The cases are nice and bright with a 3 dimple crimp.
Cases are stamped 54 and 343 in an oval.
I guess this stands for 1954 and a factory number?
Hope to shoot some next week if the rain stops.
I am considering buying a boat, something around 300x50 cubits.
My shipment arrived Thursday, within a couple of days of order, even though Colorado was having the worst storm in 10 years. Spam can was tight, with no damage. Ammo is clean and looks fresh.
Many thanks to MP5 for putting this together for us.
PS: My tin is marked 63-54- "343 in an oval"

Just my opinion here: If the can is still sealed and good condition, you can leave it as it is. If you just can't resist pulling the tab, then transferring the boxes to a US military ammo can with a small desiccant packet will keep the ammo for a LONG time. US ammo cans have gaskets that make a good seal.
I guess mine was the exception then. There was a definite feel of an airtight seal being broken when I opened mine. The inside showed absolutely no sign of rust or corrosion. The only sign of age was that the cardboard had started to split on a couple of corners.
I am very pleased with the can I got, and wish i could afford a truckload of it.
Yea I had planned on keeping in the tin like the rest of my surplus i have squirreled away. Here's a picture of the tin sorry about the quality its from my phone.
 Just a heads up, We will be ending the group buy on the Polish 7.62x25 ammo on 11-30-09. If your considering getting in, don't sit on the fence too long.- MP5
I just ordered a can of it. Good deal.
