    Default Chinese "Factory 316" SKS

Saw one of these the other day. Pretty blonde stock and it didn't look like the typical soft wood stock as it had some grain to it. Side buttstock sling attachment. Half length screwed bbl hub, stamped trigger guard and a spike bayo. The fellow said he bought it in '96. This was just one pretty SKS!

But! what caught my eye was the factory symbol. It was a rounded triangle and the numbers inside were slightly rounded too. Not the sharp zig=zaggy numbers.

    Anything special about factory "316"??

I've always thought the Chinese made some really nice examples from the smaller arsenals.

Looks like I picked up a 316. Where is a good source of info on these particular arsenal SKSes?
