Found a photo on the lost bulgaria website with a soldier armed with a 7x57 Mauser Djurich 1880/07. Never seen photos of it in service and have only seen one in a museum in vienna. Just thought I'd share, and hif anyone has anymore pics i'd love to see!
Can you post the entire photo instead of the cropped version? Here is one of several I have of the 78/80 in service with Serbian troops during the 1885 war with Bulgaria.
great of the koka mausers krag! i'd love to see more. never seen that model in service either. hoping to find more of the 7x57 djurich conversion rifle though. here is the full picture as requested.
anyone know how the collar with the new locking lug was attatched the front ring of the receiver? welded/soldered, drilled, etc? serbian mauser book doesnt really say
12 years since I started this thread with the only period photo I had seen of these rifles. In all this time I've only found 3 more photos. And still not one for sale.
