I recently purchased an early model S & L .22 rimfire target rifle made around the 1960's (adjustable set trigger by pushing front trigger forward) from a deceased estate. There is no model marking, but it has a hooked adjustable butt-plate, but no thumb-hole grip.
For some reason the trigger will not stay set, hence the rifle is unusable. Perhaps some parts are missing?
Can anyone help me with an illustration out of a manual as to what the trigger assembly looks like; firstly the pivoting bits attached to the underside of the action, and hopefully any suggestion as to why the detachable trigger system is not operating. All springs seem to be present.
A lovely rifle that is presently useless. I did try to get an answer from Schultz & Larsen, but have had no luck there so far.
