Hey all,
Just purchased this old beauty—it's a D.D. Levaux in .320 (I bought my Dad a Mercenier Levaux .450 Adams a while ago, and this one looks like the miniaturized version of that). In scanning the net, I cannot find any real worthwhile information on these old Belgian revolvers—every one I've seen has been in the $1000 range, so I think they're a good investment, but there seems to be very little known about them.

Anyone an in-house expert on these 'so ugly they're pretty' Levaux-pattern revolvers?

No. 299 in The Illustrated Encyclopedia of handguns, A.B. Zhuk

An engraved, ivory handle .38 sold for $450 at auction last May.

I had seen the littlegun site, and have even spoken with the gentleman who operates it—he helped me in identifying a missing part on the aforementioned .450 Levaux. He seems to be the only authority on these pieces on the net.

The recent sale gives me a much better sense of this gun's value—the 380 model you showed is much more ornate than the one I purchased, so unless the .320 models are more scarce (small caliber pocket pistols tend not to command as high a price, in my experience), I'm guessing I may have overpaid.

Here's hoping the auction shown above was one of those where the winner got a steal!
