    Default ID .45 m1911 ammo

HI all. Just picked up a few hundred rounds of this Ball Caliber .45 M1911 Federal Cartridge Corporation ammo in a trade and wanted to get some more info on it if possible.

OK to shoot in my RIA 1911 (.45 ACP)?
    Non Corrosive?
    Age?
Any collector value or just like any other box of .45.?

Thanks for the help. Figured I would check with the experts before shooting an unknown round.

is that primer "domed" as in convexed....
seems we did not go to non corrosive primers til mid 50's..i could be wrong, but i would treat it as corrosive and do a soapy water wash with my regular cleaning.
the box appears to say (19)53..but the ammo is (19)54....

Primer looks pretty flat to me. Just the slightest rounding on the edge if you look very close. Sits flush with case head and not protruding out.

1853 is the lot number. Has nothing to do with the year of manufacture. The last lot with corrosive primers was 1801, Nov. '53.
