    Default Murata T-13 Help?

I picked this up at an estate sale and after much research I can tell you it was made around 1889, type 13 Murata, 11mm, several comments that it has been sporterized, approximate value has been set at $300. Can anyone provide any more information?
Thank you all for your time (in advance)Click image for larger version.

It appears to be a Murata shotgun, not a sporterized Type 13. What is the serial number, if it has one?

I believe that would take the 30 gauge brass cartridge.

Maybe. Hard to tell, unless better photos are available.

Welcome aboard West. As stated, it is a Murata shotgun, not a sporter. Close-ups, may determine guage. Hard to say, as they were made is a variety of gauges. Very nice looking wood on that one.
Before starting any serious collection: Spend your first thousand dollars on reference material. It's money in the bank.

    Default 30 ga Murata cartridges

These may be the cartridges used in your Murata Shotgun. They are 30 ga, you can see the stampings around the outer rim. I have a T-18 Murata shotgun mounted in a matchlock style stock, it's not military but I loved it and couldn't turn it down for $400.00.
