I bought a DOU43 sporterised:barf: and i would have some question . All the parts are the same serial numbers but there is a WaA135 on the floorplate and the follower it is normal. I am going to have to find a woodstock and barrel band. Which are the markings on the wood and on the barrel bands . That i see in the book Backbone do not seem to correspond with the photos which we find on the site. I'm confused .
francois- dont literally interpret backbone, it has many errors. Your rifle is all correct. The e/135 floorplate and triggerguard are mauser oberndorf subcontracted parts. The correct stock for your rifle would have no external markings.
As stated, the trigger guard & fp are right, bands could be either milled closed or stamped, but trends show stamped most common in the "f" block. Both bands would be serialed though, the rear band sideways.
Is your barrel code "BK" or "AK", the lot number is not clear, only see a "K", but it should have another letter in front, "BK" would fit better in this range, but a surprising number of "A?" lots show up after the "f" block.
The barrel code is ( BK) , and thank you for the information .
