    Default ID 7.62 x 54 ammo / tin?

    I don't remember what's in this tin.
I probably won't open it yet,
but does anyone have a clue from the outside markings?

    Thanks,
    Don

Looks like it may be bulgarian light ball from the 1950's.

I read the powder lot as being from 1961. No idea as to nationality.

The type marking on the can (it is pretty hard to tell, but I THINK it is ЛГЖ, or PGC) indicate that this ammunition will probably be similar in type to the late 1940's-early 1950's Russian light ball on stripper clips (with copper washed steel cases) that has been recently on sale from several sources.
