Default 7.62X39 factory code 13 over 88, (who what where when).

I picked up some ammo in trapezoid shape boxes today.

Twenty five rounds to a box.

White sticker on the box with no writing.

    Looks like brass cased ammo.

Where was it made and is it any good?

If brass cased, it's South African. Very good stuff.
If copper-washed steel case, it's Cuban, but that's pretty rare.

The primers look a little large, is it reloadable too?

Thats more or less what I figured.

If only I had the time and berdan primers.

I have thousands of spent SA 7.62 not really NATO in a drum waiting to be recycled.

    LOL

I had SA 7.62 at the Cadillac Michigan Gun Show last week for $60 a pack and didn't sell one pack!

At the last Manassas Va show, a guy who I know was selling his SA 762x39 battle packs for 40 bucks each. I grabbed one just because of what it was although my Norinco likes Chinese better for accuracy. He will have more at the Chantilly Va show in November.

We keep on confusing 7.62 (.308) ammo with 7.62X39.

I had a couple of the South African battle packs of 7.62x39. Mine has the same headstamp and came in a 200 round clear pack. I have only a few boxes left, and I save it for when I test homebuilds. It is surprisingly accurate out of my AMD-65.
