I have acquired a interesting flintlock rifle that is marked Turner Kirkland Union City Tennessee on the barrel. I know Turner was the man who started Dixie Gun Works but there is no mention of that on the gun (although I have not removed the lock yet to see if there is anything on the inside of the lock) and wonder if this was something that he put together prior to starting DGW or was it a "line" of rifles or maybe even a kit that was offered by DGW. Anybody have knowledge of these guns? Pictures will be posted soon and thanks for any responses.

Photographs would help to identify what you have, identification will be impossible without seeing it.

His earliest rifles were made during the mid-1950s through early 1960s and they were manufactured in Belgium. Are there any proof marks on the barrel?
