I love shooting my PA-63, but the frame on the right rear has developed a crack. This won't allow the slide to return all the way forward after a round is fired. I don't think the pistol is safe to shoot in this condition. Is there a source to buy a replacement frame? Thanks.
Isn't the frame the serial numbed part? If it is it is considered a firearm and you would need to go thru an FFL. If you find one it would probably cost more than a complete pistol anyway.
Might be better to part out whats left and cut your losses. If your lucky you night make more than a new PA-63.
Per the ATF rules, the frame is the pistol. The PA-63 has an alloy frame and a limited life. If the frame is cracked, that is the end of the pistol as such.
As "Delkal" suggested: "Might be better to part out whats left ..."
if you really like the PA-63 buy another and use this one as spare parts.
