I picked up this really well used and abused Mak holster from a local collector yesterday. It has what appears to be some Vietnamese words "ANH S??" impressed into the top of the mag pouch. Now if only its former occupant would come my way.

Hi. All I can tell you is the construction of the holster is roughly pre-1978 style Soviet. Unfortunately, the maker marks, date, etc. are normally just about the spot where the magazine base wears on the leather. I say pre-1978 or so because after that you see reinforcing rivets and eventually simplified construction using a long single belt loop. It has been repaired on the rear belt loop judging by the different color of the stitches visible. The letters you copied out are not Cyrillic. That is all I can say for sure. Regards, ABTOMAT
