    Default It is a cinch!

The rifle was designed for use by illiterate peasant conscripts:

    Default firing pin protrusion?

What was the tricky part? The firing pin? I tend on reassembly to screw the cocking piece down all the way, then back it off until it is flush, and then align the notch. Then I double check the pin and the bolt face with the gauge on the Mosin-multi-tool. I did once have ftf issues on a Mosin Nagant at a range because I had not properly checked. (DOH!)

    Default Just klutzy today

I had a spare bolt and I wanted to send the bolt head to a buddy who is having feeding and extraction issues with his otherwise excellent-looking 91/30, to see if that would solve his problem.
