It's proof coded "O" indicating 1944 made and Geco stamped as imported to Germany, about 1000 total in WW2. Hard to find, and with the correct holster, usually sells for more than this auction.
I have one about 20, 000 numbers lower and in darn nice shape....doubt I would sell ever ...especially a mere $800. Actually I have some Llama's and Stars that were shipped to the Nazis and are well documented so kind of special to me.
I was following that auction too but price got too high. Don't think it's a crazy price by any stretch for that gun. But, having said that - I found the 380 sister - model II that ended Sunday and bids were low so I went to bed offering $310 and won A nice 1944 model II with all the same markings as the $800+ one
Hi cruzans.
interested in knowing if your .380 model II was Geco marked? I also have a Model I that is Geco marked. Has the early round safety lever and as a plus came with a beautiful set of Mammoth ivory grips. The jury is still out on the holster that came with it.
not trying to be a smart a-- but how do you know the holster is correct? Just trying to learn as so little is known about the small frame llamas. TIA for any info you might be willing to share. phredp
Sorry for the goof but the question about the correctness of the holster was meant as a post in response to one by herd118 indicating the holster for the Model 1 was correct. phredp
carbinesforcollectors is the website of the people at 4SGrips.com. If you need nice wood grips for a Spanish pistol at a reasonable price, 4Sgrips probably has them or can make them. They do make the Models 1, II and III grips, but not checkered.
