Picked this up a little while ago from the son of a well known C&R pistol seller.
A ROYAL 12 shot 7.65 mm/ .32ACP pistol. These were made in late 1920s-1930s and lots were sold to Chinese warlords and the Japanese .It is rather large for a .32 !
Unfortunately the seller did not disclose that the original magazine was mutilated ! Plus, the left side reproduction grip was so poorly fitted that it fell off !
Oh well, next time I will be sure to get pics of magazines before the $$ is sent !
On the plus side the piece matches and the bore is good. Rather ugly pitting and some finish wear but guess it gives it character !

Ordered a couple of triple K replacement magazines from Gun Parts Corp. The mags would not latch in place as is so some fitting was required. Had to file a notch in the back of floor plate. File a little then try. Tested with some dummy rounds and function OK. The mag follower was a little long and mag would only hold 10 rounds as labeled on the bag. My guess is Triple K did this to get around >10 round mag laws. Good move and easy to fix. Mags hold 12 rounds now.

Fixed the left side reproduction grip , cleaned and oiled the ROYAL and took it to the range.

Ran 5 magazines through it no trouble. Mix of Fiocchi and Privi FMJ ammo. Accuracy was so so but certainly "minute of man" level at 20 yards and less. Very easy to make quick repeat shots. The piece weighs about as much as a Colt Combat Commander .45 so recoil was very small.

A couple of pics with a 1911 and an ASTRA Ruby type pistol for comparison.

From research it shows these pistols were made by Zulalica? and marketed to someone who wanted a big pistol that shot a lot of little bullets !

Anyone know where to get some good reproduction grips ??
