Star M1920 & M1921 are paramilitary - they were ordered by Guardia Civil. If in good shape $550 is a good price. The safety design is carried over from Star M1914, which in its part is close to the Mannlicher M1905.
Sherrick, what I can see of the pistol in your photo indicates good condition, this particular one would be a collector rather than everyday shooter. The price is in line for a low production pistol that survived the Spanish civil war, WWII and however it was imported. Go for it and post some nicer photos of your prize.
Agree, not a shooter, but a collectable. I had two M1920, sold one, kept one. Both wouldn't extract half of the time. Same with the M1921, erratic extraction. Weak extractors maybe? Newer Stars (A, B, etc.) don't have this problem, my older one (M1914) also works perfectly each time.
