    An interesting perspective. I wonder if it means that we will be seeing a lot of new faces around here?

    Are liberals going to raise the cost of our trade....?

    Or buy up all the over stocks guns at fast dropping prices?
    Maybe at better then 1/2 price ....sad we couldn't see the future through there eyes.

    not that I am a liberal mind you.. it's just that I prefer the duck walk to the goose step.

    I prefer as many different sorts of folks to be prepping as possible because every neighbor who has their own is a neighbor who isn't going to be coming after mine. Also, we all know that stockpiling and buying a gun isn't the same as having the knowledge to use all that stuff, so some of these people are going to be leaving a lot of goodies for others to inherit.

    Up in those posts I was making about Gary Johnson, you kept calling me a liberal and Hillary supporter asking why I wasn't bashing Hllary just Trump, and I kept explaining why and you told me to go back to my survivalist and Fukushima threads .. and I am sorry you did that.. and then Shooter Ike ,, asking me why I wasn't thanking the Feurher several times a day for all the good things he did for the world like clover leaf intersections .. on the Panther V Sherman thread.. you right there with him 100% on the Panther tank thing.. maybe for different reasons, but I couldn't tell, maybe not...

    I would rather that they prep than be begging for food should things get bad. Just less pressure on the rest of us if they are able to look after themselves. In fact would be great if everyone prepped for the long term but that isn't reality.

    They could be thinking they are getting ready for a game of cowboys and liberals. IN reality I think some liberals will soon be less liberal as many will see things like black thugs matter rallies and riots and realize why many decent people carry guns.

    Having worked in NYC in the publishing business, & lived on Long Island for many years I have many friends who could be called "Liberal" or "Progressive".
    I'm the odd man out, a British redneck huntin' finshin' shewtin' kind of guy with politics that have been described as "somewhere to the Right of Attila The Hun"!
    Oddly enough this makes me the "go to guy" for my gun hating (publicly at least) friends.
    Trust me its not new, they've been doing it for ever, they just don't brag about it as much because they're afraid their other friends will disown them!

    Of course many won't, because they're the other folks asking me stuff!

    Don't really know, or care for boxing in the definitions of liberal....or radical...in to a single thought!

    I compass reality of content (that I can use) to farther my existence...
    throughts, education and conversational benifits of changing with the times.
    I hope to choose wisely from all that designated down or up to my standards that may or may not work for me.

    To make a point: I state nothing AT and individual with hurtful intentions on purpose...!

    Leading to this thought: in a survivle stitutation of grave decisions "sharring pairing ideas agreed to or disagreed about....becomes very important to group survivle ....
    Any discourse. "Pointing fingers at the person or people" involved for failures....a wrong approach!
    instead of seaking resolutions, researching structural incompleteness or other structural mistakes in hindsight. This assure no losses for the WHOLE GROUPS BENEFITS
    ....( as the reason for these boards this site in the first place!)

    I would "not tolerate" in our survival group attacks on personalities as per same board rules here.

    It's not the person it's the "subject separated" from the person if all possible as to be wisly worked on....
    For time, supplies lives matter......not vendettas! Play ground squabbles ...like "she said , I said , they
    Sad wasting time resources causing confusion discourse .....

    With that in mind....no group speakers in unison or acts strongly ....with mumbles, back seat quarterbacks,
    And na Sayers whispering ..................whispering..........undermining ........unsupportive with out positive efforts to help correct the task at hand......
    What would Jesus do, say, pray? Very helpful when you come emotionally involved distracted from groups needs!

    You can have an outrageously great conservative idea/concept and try to share it with a liberal who will probably dismiss it as being "right wing radical". But if that liberal decides to come around and embraces this idea/concept as their own, only THEN is it a good idea. To make matters worse, they will never say, "yeah, you know, you're right! They make you believe it was theirs all along. Those people are just so freakin' weird...

    How does the history of the affordable care act fit into your conformation bias?
    President Obama and the Democrats borrowing Romney's plan (which he enacted as gov of Mass) for mandatory health care (which came from that notorious liberal outfit The Heritage Foundation)?
    Clearly the Republicans in congress were impressed that President Obama wanted to use a conservative concept, oops-not so much.

    "Pajama boy" very well might have a whole lot more than that seeing as:

    1) The guy probably got paid for being in the ad/picture so he can afford an AR and some MREs, and:

    2) Appearing in the ad/picture is no indication of the guy's personal politics or of whether or not he is a prepper.

    This whole prepping and back to the land thing self sufficiency was started by the hippies back in the 60's and even before that the Communists/ liberal/socialist/ freethinkers and other " cults"/ religious separatists throughout the USA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...an_communities.

    I've been in contact off and on with a couple exhippy very liberal self sufficiency communes and land groups up in Tennessee since the 80's most of them are active seed savers and open pollinate seed growers and suppliers and that is how they pay for their isolated cabins and solar panels totally off the grid.. I even know of a few that are exclusively lesbian. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/01/fashion/01womyn.html as an example don't know this group in particular merely a proof of life.

    I don't know.. it could just be that is the world I live in, it could be just to annoy folks that are annoyed by it. If you bother to do any research on those groups almost all of them failed or faded away over time. The reasons for them forming in the first place changed over time.. the socialist groups formed when the economy was bad and everything was blamed on bankers Ever watch "It's a Wonderful Life" they show it every Christmas .     You don't have to give birth to your replacements if you recruit your replacements and communes are not always made up of families anyway. It's just a group of like minded people, not necessarily a tribe with a related lineage. I could see an all women commune doing very well, as long as they didn't have to kill any spiders or open any pickle jars. (Just kidding Ammo)

    Sometimes I wonder what some people do for Thanksgiving. me myself, I usually Roast a Turkey, and baste it, then cover it with foil. This is why I say everybody needs a meat thermometer. food Safety . All women communes do the same thing, have the same equipment and have arguments over if you bake the stuffing inside the Turkey or outside the Turkey just like families all across America. Sweet Potatoes or mashed potatoes ... I'm for mashed myself, I really like the Turkey Gravy left over from basting the Turkey. Communes the same way, in fact, this year, communes were probably more peaceful around the Table than my extended family was, so much politics . lot of people said families would fall apart over the election, I doubt many actually did, most intentional communities skip all that political division and have big group meals more often.

    I admit liberals are prepping. I admit most folk think all GLBT are liberals, (ain't true) but how I could possibly know what in my post might be bait or for who is beyond me. Most folks are just happy they prep , they don't care that they exist one way or the other.

    Why does it bother you if I include groups that prep or practice self sufficiency, that are like the group I am in? and yes we have a couple liberals . but by no means the majority in the case of my group it's about 50/50 fiscally conservative , even the liberals are armed so it's hard to tell us apart that way on the conservative liberal scale.. Liberals been prepping for a long time.. getting out of high violence neighborhoods.. it's just who lives in those neighborhoods is different from who some white conservatives move away from.. we all have our boogie men that we suspect of becoming hostile and violent either because we are women or GLBT. Lots of reasons for liberals to prep , move to better ground, become self sufficient, arm themselves and become skilled at arms .. That seems to be what you think is bait.. I think it is on topic liberal prepping.. What? nobody here was to know anything about it first hand? or comment on it?

    My friend one shot....she's not a baiter she living proof that she's capable of exposing herself to comments concerning her personal thoughts while supporting this thread, personal desires, wishes, sexuality not interfering with true research sharred....

    If Shtf today we would assemble what people we have present.......a mix of effort, supplies ideal, ideas and skills....
    somethings would not need be clarfied.....in those areas till rights are enfranged upon....in more peaceful times.

    I don't care who is prepping and why. Their reasons are their own, as long as they are less likely to become a threat to me because they are unprepared I am happy. I will admit to not much liking labels, never found a label which adequately described a person, their life, and their beliefs, OR THIER CAPABILITES, well enough. Everyone has their reasons for living their life the way they do, and I have known some from the alternative life style labeled groups who were very capable in the skills discussed here, and in the more defense oriented forums. So, if prepping is part of it their thing, excellent...

    Once Started preparing you will never stop.
    If you know older people that lived through or during the depression....
    All most all ( if room allows) have pantries over stocked, many duplicate products...
    Once caught not prepared ....never will that product run out.....
    Storms, disasters, bring this to light with younger generations ...especially if raised by parents from depression area as I was.><> Daniel

    I have been following them for over a month.

    recon the enemy, from what i see half are neon green to firearms and think just owning one will scare away the boogie man
    some think prepping is bullshit and openly say they are planning on ''shooting the fat ass deplorable and taking his supplies''

    not understanding others that are bigger and worse will just do the same to them.

    It matters not ( maybe just a little if extremest) whom is preparing long term for disruptions politically.
    It will still make a positive Eco environment with demand for better produce development.
    As with any disruption in social orders....more that have taken the precautions the less prepaired will have more on the shelves to stabilize there families ....because the panic runs will not effect/affect them till later dates with what was poorly thought out.
    As to a new common goals liberals prepare and non liberals prepaired alike all would have even more common grounds for and the ability to communicate with each other on "common grounds" most all political stances put aside...after the collapse what would be the use till reorganization was established on state, locate and federal levels non partisan I would think!

    As here no matter political or liberal, conservative an open line of benifical communication is sharred.
    A board rule, a site rule, and, SHTF consideration now made a reality.

    Yes there will be unprepared hordes of both considerations in unknown numbers pillaging raping towns, communities....they with no political, liberal, conservative values other take from the weak in numbers.

    Some get a lift supporting one side or another ....when if it happens the lest of my concern or others are your voting stands liberal or considered conservative view point from my scoped non biased rifle!

    Well I did spend some time there. I found it a mix and found a post or two that sound like conservatives,Don't know how they vote. But most seem to me to deal with the social side of the gun subject and not the Constitutional side. This rethink makes me stand by my post.
