Default Another SVT-40 addition to my collection. Sniper)

Here's another addition to my collection that I just picked up. Regular refurb, looks like all matching except the bolt which is EP matched.

Yes it is a real 1942 Sniper. Nice rifle. 1942's are tough to find. Thanks for sharing and congrats on a good addition to your collection.

Thanks. I got cold feet when I saw it for sale and the seller was only an hour away drive.

Here it is with 1942 mount that I got a while ago. Unfortunately the only number left from serial that is distinguishable is 0 which looks like the third digit. Judging by the big font I'm assuming it's '42 mount.

Nice one to pick up; I have kept an eye open for a 42 to go with my 41s and they are tough to find!
Looking for PU scope number 10062. See post http://forums.gunboards.com/showthre...light=pashutr3

Yeah, they are hard to find in general 41 or 42. But yes 42 is more rare. Over the past 4 years I've seen only 4 or 5 legit SVT snipers that came up for sale and all were 41 if I remember correct.

Nice find, like the others said, a 42 is a rare bird indeed.
