i went to a local auction with a friend last night to relieve the friday nights boredom, mostly near junk and plain junk. but # 41 was a gem amoung the thorns, a 03A3 smith corona, that was being sold as is as it was listed as missing parts. i checked it out and the missing parts were the follower and spring, it started at 200.00 and i was the last bidder at 310.00. the bolt is remington, but the rest is smith corona, nice stock and metal fihish with a ex bore. here it is with the follower and spring installed. eastbank.
I would be very happy with that rifle at that price. I imagine the follower and spring will be easy and cheap to find. If there are no rebuild stamps on the left side of the stock it would be worth it to find a SC bolt too.
Outstanding deal regardless of the rest of the details. Find a blue X marked 03 bolt and be happy. Follower and spring should be about $20 at most.
