1895 is indeed an antique. As Bill mentioned, the antique date is made in the year 1898 or prior. So anything made in 1899, is not considered an antique despite it being the same exact model. In the case of Mosins, especially Finnish models or even the Finn captures, to further echo sparky, the receiver is considered the firearm. Barrel can have whatever date on it. But as long as what the barrel is screwed in to is dated 1898 or prior in this case, then it's considered an antique.
