I think you should look for a company that does what is called "micro welding" (you could do a google search in your area) ... we have one locally that specialized in the repair of dies for the jewelry industry so their repairs have to be very strong and invisible. You have an additional problem in that it's helpful to know what they are welding and I'm certain you don't have the chemical composition of the material - the Germans probably didn't have it when the gun was made. That shouldn't be insurmountable, but I'd make it clear from the beginning that it was some sort of mild steel.
I should think any gun smith that tigs or mig weld should be able to heat it and position it in place and weld it in place. I have had it done on a BURNSIDE that had a failure on the loading lever were it locks up and it is fine.
