    It says under additional options (in Go Advanced editor mode) that for attachments, you can have a gif file. Let me test this out:

    You are right, the attachment manager switches it over to a jpg file. Thank you for bringing this to our attention - I'll have this looked into.

    Glad to see them working! I found out why this was happening: the file size for .gifs was set to 307200 in the attachment manager (0.3072 mb). Secondly, the thumbnail size was set to 150 so any images that are bigger than 150px would be resized down to that and turn static. The thumbnail size has been bumped up to 600 and that worked as you see .gifs will animate now (as long as they're not bigger than 600xp).
