Just found this recently. Out of the woodwork. 1915 dated backpack, Haversack, Ditty type bag with sewn initials, barricks bag and some type of rag/cloth with German writing on it. Looks like it all came back oversees from the same owner.
Very nice, but not all from the same person. The big sack is named to doctor M. Wadewitz, but the ditty bag is named to a Musketier Weich. The embroidered initials are for G. W. which might possibly also be Weich? (We don't know his first name) Still, great items.
Thanks! I should have said the ditty bag was from a different person.
