I am looking for confirmation the US used lazy dog bombs during WW2. Conflicting information on the internet, imagine that! Is there any markings or differences that would indicate WW2 production if used?
Any help is appreciated.
John
No markings that I know of. Several companies made them.
In the 50's and 60's you could buy them for 5 cents each as surplus. They were used in WWII,possibly in Korea, and in Vietnam.
Why post would say they weren't is a little strange. There is even a very gruesome coroner report on recovered bodies on the web at a government site.
Thank you for the confirmation. I did not want to put in a display if not correct.
