Winchester 571 Powder

I was given an 8lb can of win 571 powder. Anybody familiar with the powder? I like to use it up. I shoot 40s&w, 357mag, and 12ga trap and skeet. I understand HS-7 is also the same powder. Its only in the older loading books.

Win. 571 was originally designed for 3" 12 and 20 ga. shotshells.

The 15th edition Winchester reloaders guide dated 1997 contains alot of data for 12,16,20 and 28 ga. shotshell loads as well as data fo 38 Spl., 9MM Luger, 40 S&W, 10MM auto and 45 acp. using Win. 571.

I use it for high velocity 20 gauge 1 oz. loads. It's considered relatively slow burning for shotgun shells.
