    Default Pindad 7.62x51 corrosive ?

    Hi,

I picked up 80 rounds of this stuff, mostly because it was cheap.

    box reads:

Pindad and company logo, an arrow with zigzag shaft, the tip is a gear wheel w/ a 5-pt star in the center

    20 BUTIR
    MUNISI KALIBER 7,62 mm
    MU - Tj
    Lot No. 8/86
    PT. PINDAD (PERSERO)

brass cased, FMJ, annealed neck, primer crimped and sealed w/ green stuff

    headstamp PINDAD 86

    corrosive ?

    Berdan/boxer primed ?

    good for reloading ?

one other GB posting says this Indonesian ammo "groups like buckshot at 100 yards"

so, save it for short-range, End-of-the-World-Hordes-of-Zombies blasting ammo?

It is NONcorrosive / Berdan primed and nice pretty ammo!

Sad to say it shot the biggest groups I have seen from 7.62x51mm ammo. Not quite 'buckshot' @ 100yards, but if Portugese was shooting 2" for me that day the Pindad would do 4".

Good for plinking, MG use or close in Zombies for sure!
