Hi folks! My buddy would like to know how many people, beside him, still shoots an original M1898 Rast & Gasser in caliber 8mm Gasser. Is there anybody shooting such a revolver? Many thanks for your collaboration to this quick 'census'.

Blackcat Attilio, I've shot my original Rast & Gasser M1898 8mm acceptance date 1915 marked IR 44 (assume KuK Infantry Regiment Nr 44) a few times. It needed a replacement loading gate spring and found one from a gunsmith in Italy after a prolonged effort to find one. It should shoot a lot better now. Cheers

Not one, but two!

I shoot both of mine, I have one beater that I use as a backyard plinker, and one kinda nice one I really don't shoot that much. I have only shot .32 longs and .32 H&R Mag cowboy loads, they only shoot well with hollow base wadcutters as the bore is a bit oversized. These are not BP cartridge revolvers but were designed from the start as smokeless. I have yet to shoot any of the Fiocchi 8mm Gasser, because I don't shoot them enough to spend almost a dollar a round......someday I will buy a few boxes.
