All,

I am in the Cincy area for the next few days and wanted to know if there are any decent gunshops for Milsurp and/or reloading components.

Thanks, Shannon

Been years, but Milford had one. Milford Gun Shop. 218 Main st. Milford OH

I bought my first M1 Carbine there. They had a BAR training device hanging over the front of the shop.

Thanks. I've been to the Milford Shops - Switzer's and the Milford Gun Shop. The owner at Milford Gunshop is not very friendly, but has decent stuff. I appreciate the help.

Best Regards, Shannon

Try North College Hill Gun Shop, on Galbraith Rd. PM me if you are going, I may be able to meet you there.

I was just at Switzers recently. A lot of eye candy but not any really great prices from what I saw.

I think I saw a M1 carbine for 700?

Default Welome to 'The heart of it all!'

Try Loveland Shooters Supply. I met a fella down by there once to do some trading and stopped in the shop. I remember them having a few M1 carbines, mosins and mausers. They also had a Vis-35 Radom pistol, Llama .45 and Sewde Ljungman (sp) rifle. They had some other stuff as well but it is escaping me.

The people behind the counter were very nice. The one fella said the had more mil-surp stuff but most of it was taken to a gunshow that day.

I liked the shop because of the people, but also because I got the feeling that it's the type of place where uncommon stuff could be found.

I gotta try to get back when there's not a show!

+1...lol! I haven't been there in probably 10 years and it's nice to see that some things don't change. As a college student at UC I used to go in there and ask him to see stuff...he wasn't pleased. I got the feeling he didn't really want to sell any of his guns.... I saw my first Krag carbine in that shop and was like "what the hell is this???"

I used to head north to find most of my aquisitions, closer to Middletown and Dayton. Unfortunately, I can't remember any shop names except for AIM of course.

The draconian gun laws in Cincinnati made me happy to move to NC 4 years ago...

Thanks for all of the advice.

Yeah, hee hee. I grew up just east of Milford in Batavia, and used to trek over to Milford to look at the guns. It is/was always a time warp - nothing ever changes. I walk in to the shop, he's sitting behind the counter and barely looks up and utters two words to you as you walk thru the door. He might grunt or mumble as you walk back out. I could never figure out who bought stuff from there and how he managed to stay in business all of these years.

I forgot Ihatemacs and nateg513 are in the AO. I guess I should have done better homework before I left Virginia. Next time....

I'll try to check out Loveland and Milford today.

Take care, Shannon
