I read your post about Rheinmetall shot guns. You wanted info from anyone who has one. I inherited a 16 gauge Rheinmetall semiautomatic from my grandfather 40 years ago. I've only fired it a few times being it wont eject the shortest shells I can get. It needs a 2 1/2 inch shell. Serial # is 2141 the safety is behind the trigger guard and integrates itself into the trigger touching the trigger on safe. The barrel is 28 3/8 inches. The barrel can be pushed into the receiver one inch. The bluing is nearly 100 %. The butt pad says Browning. Only problems with this shotgun is that the front sight is gone, and the forestock was cracked but gramps did a super job of gluing it and adding brass pins that have been shaved off to conform with the wood. My Grandparents came here from Berlin in 1912. I would love to know when this shot gun was born. I can email pictures if you want. My email is: hackwriter1@aol.com Martin A.Greis, St. Paul, MN
