Default Been away for a few years. I diverged in my collecting interests for a few years.

Okay, it's been about 5 years since I started down this road, but I am coming back. I figured I would show a little bit to anyone interested, as to why I have been out. The weapons, as shown in a clockwise fashion starting from upper left hand corner:

Mk13 Mod 5 - all correct USMC version using only issued components with issued deployment kit containing most of the B2 specific cleaning kit items and other ancillary gear, except suppressor. That will come in due time.
M110 - all correct USMC version, same as the above. Still working on getting the proper lower. Those do not come cheap. A lower will cost $2k, just by itself. Same as the above; most of the B2 specific gear, less suppressor.
Mk12 Mod 1 - USMC version, rinse and repeat for details. :D
Lastly, M40A3, all correct, late issue that utilized magazines and forward nightvision mount.

We Marines believe that God gave America the greatest gift he could bestow to man while he lived on this earth-freedom. We also believe he gave us another gift nearly as precious-our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Coast Guardsmen, and Marines-to safeguard that gift and
guarantee no force on this earth can every steal it away. It has been my distinct honor to have been with you here today. Rest assured our America, this experiment in democracy started over two centuries ago, will forever remain the "land of the free and home of the brave" so long as we never run out of tough young Americans who are willing to look beyond their own self-interest and comfortable lives, and go into the darkest and most dangerous places on earth to hunt down, and kill, those who would do us harm.

Very good hunting! You've been a busy jarhead, not to mention creating a much thinner wallet in the process. Playtime must be especially fun at your house!

Ha, yeah I have. It's been a $35k + dent into my wallet. Just the three scopes for the M40, Mk13, and M110 have been $10k.

I would absolutely love to see detailed posts on these. My collecting interest has moved towards GWOT and these look like a painstakingly awesome process. Looking forward to seeing more.

Yes, I agree, very solid collection. It'd be a shame if you didn't give them a chance to stretch their legs.

I was really looking forward to stretching their legs this past spring at our annual sniper shoot in TN. But the Covid put the kybosh on that.

I bought a scope reticle leveling tool, so I have to reshoot them all for new zeroes. So it will be a fun day of working dopes out to 1,000 for all and maybe more for the Mk13 Mod 5. The dope card in the manual will be a great starting point. It shows all the dopes, for all the zero settings from 0 to 1600 meters.

I can't take credit for cutting out the cases. Those are from whomever did it for the military. All 4 of those cases are issued Pelican deployment cases.

I don't even know what I am looking at and I am in total awe. Amazing.
